In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE CONSOLIDATED TOBACCO COMPANY, LIMITED, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at 12–14 New North Road, Auckland.
NOTICE is hereby given that the petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 7th day of July, 1937, presented to the said Court by Loyal Limited (in Liquidation), Grey Building, Courthouse Lane, Auckland, Tobacco-manufacturer: And that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 27th day of August, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

This notice must state the name, address, and description of the person, or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm, and an address for service within three miles of the office of the Supreme Court at Auckland, and must be signed by the person or the firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served, or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioner’s address for service not later than 4 o’clock in the afternoon of the 26th day of August, 1937.

EXCELSIOR IMPLEMENT COMPANY, LTD.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given (pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933) that a general meeting of members of the above-named company will be held at the office of the liquidator, Whitaker Street, Te Aroha, on Monday, 26th July, 1937, at 11.30 a.m., for the purposes of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Te Aroha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing for the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £5,500 authorized to be raised by the Te Aroha Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting and furnishing municipal offices, the said Te Aroha Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny five-eighths of a penny (1⅝d.) in the pound upon the rateable annual value of all rateable property in the Borough of Te Aroha, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council held on Wednesday, the 30th day of June, 1937.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
£11,500 Abattoir Loan.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Council of the Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:—
“ That a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised in the whole area of the said borough is hereby pledged by the said Council and if required shall be appropriated as security for the purpose of the payment of interest and principal of the said loan, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 3rd day of June, 1937.
