Land Reserves and Vesting




after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary
reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such
permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette :
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto
were, by the Warrant dated the eighth day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, and published in
the Gazette of the fifteenth day of that month, temporarily
reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes
in the Schedule of the said Warrant specified at the end of
the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be
temporarily reserved :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve
the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes
in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective
descriptions of the lands so intended to be permanently
reserved for which purposes the said lands were so temporarily
reserved as aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods
16 perches, more or less, being Section 12, Block VII, Tauranga
Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 1/207A, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon edged red. (Auckland plan 28856.) (Recreation.)
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
All that area containing by admeasurement 7·5 perches,
more or less, being Section 5 and part Section 4, Block III,
Town of Cromwell : Bounded on the north, 37·66 links, by
Section 38 ; on the east, 10 links, by other part of Section 4 ;
on the north, 10 links, by other part of Section 4 ; on the
east, 90 links, by other part of Section 4 ; on the south,
47·66 links, by a public street ; and on the west, 100 links,
by Section 6 ; the aforesaid sections being situate in Block III,
Town of Cromwell. As the same is more particularly de-
lineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/305A, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Site for public
buildings of the General Government.)
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 2nd day of July, 1937.

Notice of Intention to issue an Order in Council changing
the Purpose of Part of a Reserve in Mueller Survey District,
Canterbury Land District.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by subsection one (a) of section seven
of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as “the said
Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may
from time to time, by Order in Council, change the purpose
of any public reserve or any part thereof, and thereafter
such reserve or part, as the case may be, shall be held and
administered for such changed purpose :
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
is part of a reserve duly set apart for public recreation
purposes, and it is expedient to change the purpose of the
said part to a reserve for aerodrome purposes :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection two of section
seven of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an
Order in Council under the provisions of subsection one (a)
of section seven of the said Act, declaring that the reservation
over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be changed
from a reserve for public recreation purposes to a reserve for
aerodrome purposes.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods
3 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 2652, Block
XVIII, Mueller Survey District, bounded towards the north-
west by the Pukaki-Hermitage Road, 1263·5 links, towards
the east by other part of Reserve 2652, 204·1 links and
1756·9 links, and also towards the south-west by other part
of Reserve 2652, 210 links and 978·8 links.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 15 acres
0 roods 27 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 2652,
Blocks XIV and XVIII, Mueller Survey District, bounded
towards the west by other part of Reserve 2652, 3341·9
links, and also towards the north-east by other part of Reserve
2652, 192·3 links and 2600·8 links, and towards the south-east
by the Tasman River and lines 126·6 links and 483·6 links,
and towards the north-west by other part of Reserve 2652.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 6/11/70B, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 2nd day of July, 1937.

Vesting the Control of Scenic Reserves in the Raetihi Borough
Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery
Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said
Act ”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic
reserves described in the Schedule hereto (being lands reserved
under the said Act) in the Raetihi Borough Council, subject
to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say :-

  1. The period for which the control of the reserves is hereby
    vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the
    reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said
    Act.
  2. The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending
    on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement
    of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said
    reserves. Such report and statement shall be sent to the
    Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as
    soon as possible after the close of the year.
  3. The said Council shall control the said reserves in accord-
    ance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations
    made thereunder.
    SCHEDULE.
    WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.-RAETIHI SCENIC RESERVES.
    SECTION 38, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District : Area,
    7 acres 2 roods, more or less.
    Section 49, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District : Area,
    9 acres 2 roods 23 perches, more or less.
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
    General, this 29th day of June, 1937.
