The North-western Side of Portion of Grant Road, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of June, 1937.

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, viz. :
“ The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that part of the north-western side of Grant Road fronting parts of Sections 661 and 662, comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 252, folio 149 ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-western side of the portion of Grant Road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE north-western side of all that portion of street in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Grant Road, fronting parts Sections 661 and 662, Town of Wellington. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95922, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to the Acquisition of an Aerodrome-site by the Palmerston North City Council.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 23rd day of June, 1937.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in him by the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Act, 1929, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the acquisition by the Palmerston North City Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to the maintenance of the aerodrome thereon.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land containing 125 acres 3 roods 14·5 perches, more or less, situate in Block VII of the Kairanga Survey District, being parts of Rural Sections 528 and 529 of the Township of Palmerston North, and being also Lots 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 on Deposited Plan Number 5402, and being part of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 418, folio 51 (Wellington Registry).

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the person whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Amending Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces.
AMENDMENT No. 54.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces published in the Gazette dated the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.
SCHEDULE.
- These regulations may be cited as the Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, Amendment No. 54.
- These regulations shall be read together with and form part of the Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, 1927 (hereinafter called “the principal regulations”).
- These regulations shall come into force on the day following notification in the Gazette of the making hereof.
