Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the County of Waikouaiti, between Merton and Puketeraki.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Waitaki — Bluff Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Waikouaiti County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of June, 1937.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land in Waitahuna West Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
