NOTICE is hereby given that by resolution signed by all the shareholders of the above company on the 26th day of May, 1937, it was resolved that the company go into voluntary liquidation, and that JOHN HOWARD BARNETT, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator of the company.

I, JOHNNY HOWARD BARNETT, of the City of Wellington, Public Accountant, liquidator of R. Y. Walls and Company, Limited (in Voluntary Liquidation), do hereby fix the 15th day of July, 1937, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, for objecting to such distribution.

McCAUGAN LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 3lst day of May, 1937, the following special resolution was passed:

"That this company go into voluntary liquidation, and that ARTHUR HAWORTH of Christchurch, Company-secretary, be appointed liquidator."

I, ALFRED IBBOTSON, General Manager of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, do solemnly and sincerely declare:-

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.
  2. That the capital of the company is £106,250 divided into 25,000 shares of £4.5s.
  3. That the number of shares issued is 25,000.
  4. That calls to the amount of 18s. (eighteen shillings) per share have been made under which the sum of £22,500 has been received.
  5. That the amount of moneys received on account of estates under administration during the half-year ended 30th April, 1937, is £388,891.13s. lld.
  6. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates under administration during the half-year ended 30th April, 1937, is £393,524.7s. 6d.
  7. That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration during the half-year ended 30th April, 1937, is £63,895.9s. 10d.
  8. That the liabilities of the company on the lst day of May last were debts owing to sundry persons by the company, viz.: On judgment, nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £187,512.17s. 7d.; on estimated liabilities, nil.
  9. That the assets of the company on that date were: Government securities, £10,880; other securities, £189,229.14s. 2d.; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash on deposit, £28,209.5s. 7d.; cash at bank, £16,620.11s. 3d.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:- "That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100,000 authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the acquisition of land and the erection of workers' dwellings and for any other purpose in relation to workers' dwellings as described in part XXVII of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny farthing (1½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the 7th day of June, 1937.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Kaitaia Town Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work-namely, the construction of a road-and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the schedule hereto are required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Board, situate at Commerce Street, Kaitaia, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours : All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Kaitaia Town Board Office, Kaitaia.

Approximate area of each of the parcels of land required to be taken:-

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of SOUTH WESTLAND TRANSPORT, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute-book reading as follows the above-named company on the 5th day of June, 1937, passed a resolution for voluntary winding up:- "Whereby in accordance with section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, the following resolution was passed on 5th June, 1937 :- "1. That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
"2. That in pursuance of the Companies Act, 1933, Mr. THOMAS KELLY MOODY be and is hereby appointed as liquidator of the company."
