STAFF AND COMMANDS.

Major L. Potter, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Staff Officer-in-Charge No. 4 Regimental District, Brigade Major, 1st N.Z. Mounted Rifles Brigade, Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Waikato Regiment, and Area Officer, Area 4B, Hamilton, and is appointed temporarily General Staff Officer, Northern Command, Auckland. Dated 3rd May, 1937.

Captain G. Dittmer, M.B.E., M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Staff Officer-in-Charge (temp.) No. 4 Regimental District, Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Waikato Regiment, and Area Officer, Area 4B, Hamilton. Dated 3rd May, 1937.

Captain A. Bongard, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointments of Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Hawke’s Bay Regiment, and Area Officer, Area 7A, Napier, dated 28th April, 1937, and is appointed Staff Officer-in-Charge (temp.) No. 6 Regimental District, Adjutant, The Manawatu Mounted Rifles, and Area Officer, Area 6B, Palmerston North. Dated 29th April, 1937.

Captain G. M. McCaskill, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointments of Staff Officer-in-Charge (temp.) No. 6 Regimental District, Adjutant, The Manawatu Mounted Rifles, and Area Officer, Area 6B, Palmerston North, dated 28th April, 1937, and is appointed Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Hawke’s Bay Regiment, and Area Officer, Area 7A, Napier, dated 29th April, 1937.

Lieutenant-Colonel C. L. Knight, M.C., The Hauraki Regiment, relinquishes command of the 1st Battalion, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 10th May, 1937.

The period of command of Major D. A. Carty, 15th Heavy Battery, N.Z.A., is extended to 14th May, 1938.

N.Z. STAFF CORPS.

Major-General Sir William L. H. Sinclair-Burgess, K.B.E., C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (a). Dated 1st April, 1937.

THE NELSON-MARLBOROUGH MOUNTED RIFLES.

Captain F. H. Grace is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 9. Dated 17th May, 1937.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

Lieutenant R. McGregor ceases to be attached to The Hawke’s Bay Regiment, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 7. Dated 26th April, 1937.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.

Thomas Gilbert Holmes to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st March, 1937.

THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.

The undermentioned officers, 2nd Cadet Battalion, resign their commissions. Dated 10th May, 1937 :—

THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.

Aubrey Gordon Amon Baigent to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 10th May, 1937.

THE HAWKE’S BAY REGIMENT.

Captain C. E. Iversen, 1st Cadet Battalion, is transferred to The Canterbury Regiment. Dated 17th May, 1937.

Lieutenant R. McGregor, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, ceases to be attached. Dated 26th April, 1937.

THE TARANAKI REGIMENT.

Captain A. W. L. Lawn, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 8. Dated 24th May, 1937.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

Captain C. E. Iversen, from The Hawke’s Bay Regiment, to be Captain, with seniority from 1st September, 1935, and is posted to the 4th Cadet Battalion. Dated 17th May, 1937.

The undermentioned Lieutenants, 4th Cadet Battalion, resign their commissions. Dated 17th May, 1937 :—

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Captain H. L. H. Steele, E.D., M.R.C.S. Eng., L.R.C.P. Lond., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Command. Dated 11th May, 1937.

The Reverend J. Davie, Chaplain, 2nd Class (Presbyterian), is posted to the Retired List with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 24th May, 1937.
