Appointing a Member of the Waitara Harbour Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by subsection two of section thirty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby appoint
Charles Foreman
to be a member of the Waitara Harbour Board as a representative of the electors of the combined district of the Borough of Waitara, the County of Clifton, and that part of the County of Taranaki within the Waitara Harbour District, to fill the extraordinary vacancy on the Board caused by the death of James Hine.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of May, 1937.

Appointment as Chairman, Government Railways Appeal Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to section nine of the Government Railways Amendment Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, hereby appoint as a member and as Chairman of the Government Railways Appeal Board, John George Lewis Hewitt, of Marton, Stipendiary Magistrate, to hold office for a term of two years from and including the twentieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of May, 1937.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the North Auckland Land District for other Land.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Whangarei County, containing by admeasurement 32 acres, more or less, being Section 12, Block IV, Purua Survey District, shown on plan numbered 27729, blue, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, and formerly being part of Section 6, Block IV, Purua Survey District, contained in license registered as Certificate of Title, Volume 142, folio 262 (Auckland Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 22/1450/270, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Whangarei County, containing by admeasurement 20 acres 3 roods, more or less, being part of Section 5, Block IV, Purua Survey District: Bounded commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Purua Survey District, contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 174, folio 286 (Auckland Registry), being the intersection of the western side of a public road with the middle-line of Ngararatunua Stream, in a north-westerly direction generally along the middle-line of Ngararatunua Stream to its intersection with the southern side of a public road; thence easterly along the southern side of the said public road 786 links to its intersection with the western side of another public road; thence in a southerly direction along the western side of the last-mentioned public road 3927Β·7 links to the middle-line of Ngararatunua Stream, the point of commencement.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood, more or less, being part of Section 5, Block IV, Purua Survey District: Bounded commencing at a point on a public road being the north-eastern corner of Section 5, Block IV, Purua Survey District, contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 174, folio 286 (Auckland Registry), in a southerly direction along the western side of the aforesaid public road 1500 links to its intersection with the northern side of another public road; thence in a westerly direction along the northern side of the last-mentioned public road 785 links to the middle-line of Ngararatunua Stream; thence in a northerly direction generally along the middle-line of Ngararatunua Stream to its intersection with the southern side of another public road; and thence in an easterly direction along the southern side of that public road 483Β·6 links to the north-eastern corner of Section 5, the point of commencement: Be all the aforesaid admeasurements a little more or less. As the same are more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 22/1450/270, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.
