CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Lands in North Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, and Nelson Land Districts forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Land Boards of the respective land districts, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, the Land for Settlement Act, 1925, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 4th May, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 14th June, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 16th June, 1937, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of improvement loading.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Waitemata County.—Waitemata Survey District.
SECTION 26, Block XIV: Area, 42 acres 3 roods 18 perches. Capital value, £470*. Deposit on deferred payments, £20: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £14 17s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £9 8s.
- Capital value includes the value of grassing belonging to the Crown.
Weighted with £21 (to be paid in cash) for improvements, comprising 38 chains road and boundary fencing and 30 chains temporary subdivisional fencing.
This section is part of the well known Birdwood Block, access to which is by metalled road four miles from Henderson Township, which is fourteen miles from Auckland. Approximately 12 acres are in fair pasture with scattered gorse, 10 acres originally grassed but now reverted to gorse, balance is in natural state of manuka and gorse. With exception of 5 acres (steep), whole area is ploughable. Soil of a clay nature resting on sandstone formation; fairly well watered by stream on the southern boundary and by spring. Altitude 100 ft. to 250 ft. above sea-level.
