Directing the Sale of Land in Block X, Tangitu Survey District, under the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of April, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land directed to be sold:—

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Clifton under the Public Works Act, 1928.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of April, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the thirty-fifth section of the Public Works Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work, is not required for such public work, the Governor-General may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre 1 rood 2 perches.

Portion of railway land (part Section 76), Block XIX, Invercargill Hundred, Southland County. (S.O. 64/125.)

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4498, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Consenting to stopping a Road in Block XII, Awaroa Survey District, Raglan County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of April, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Raglan County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 5 acres 1 rood 23 perches.

Adjoining or passing through part Allotment 26, Whangape Parish.

Situated in Block XII, Awaroa Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 28500.)

Revoking the Reservation over Part of a Reserve in the City of Invercargill, Southland Land District.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of April, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for the purposes of a drill-shed over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.


SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 3 roods 38·45 perches, more or less, being part Section 4 (formerly known as the Invercargill Drill-shed Reserve), Block XCI, City of Invercargill, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by a public works and baths site, as described in the First Schedule of the Invercargill Corporation Empowering Act, 1922, 442 links; towards the east by Leven Street, 151·5 links; towards the south and again towards the east by other part of Section 4 aforesaid, 185·8 links and 148·5 links respectively; again towards the south by Spey Street, 207·2 links; and towards the west generally by Railway Reserve, 152·2 links and 152 links: be all the aforesaid measurements a little more or less, being part of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 97, folio 101 (Southland Register). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/11/59B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
