A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road in Wairau Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 16 perches. Adjoining or passing through Sections 61 and 167.

Situated in Block II, Wairau Survey District (Oakura R.D.). (S.S. 7498.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95203, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of April, 1937.

Change of Name of “ Waari Hamlet ” to “ Sunnyvale,” County of Waitemata.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is considered expedient that the name of the locality known as “ Waari Hamlet,” in the County of Waitemata, should be changed to “ Sunnyvale ”:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality known as “ Waari Hamlet,” in the County of Waitemata, shall be and the same is hereby altered to “ Sunnyvale,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of November, 1936.

Appointment of Adjustment Commission.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of April, 1937.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-four of the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Act, 1936, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute an Adjustment Commission to be named the Wanganui District Adjustment Commission, and doth appoint E. M. Silk, Esquire, and J. D. Crowley, Esquire, both of Wanganui, and R. A. Gower, Esquire, of Ohingaiti, to be members of the said Commission, and doth appoint the said E. M. Silk to be Chairman of such Commission.

Altering and redefining the Boundaries of the Flaxbourne Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3461.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of April, 1937.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any Rabbit District, may by Order in Council alter and redefine the boundaries of its district :

And whereas the district known as the Flaxbourne Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act :

And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein :

And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district :

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

  1. Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid ;

  2. Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto ; and, further,

  3. Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE FLAXBOURNE RABBIT DISTRICT.

ALL that area of land in the Marlborough Land District commencing on the shores of Clifford Bay near the northern boundary of Section 15, Block III, Cape Campbell Survey District ; thence in a northerly direction along the sea-coast to the Awatere River ; thence in a south-westerly direction along the southern bank of the Awatere River to the north-western corner of Section 7, Block XXI, Taylor Pass Survey District ; thence along the north-eastern boundary of the Blue Mountain Rabbit District defined by Order in Council made on the 30th day of July, 1934, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 2nd day of August, 1934, at page 2312, to Richmond Brook ; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of the Richmond Brook Estate to the Flaxbourne River ; thence easterly by that river to the north-west corner of Small Grazing-run 166 ; thence again southerly by the west boundaries of Small Grazing-runs 166 and 181 and Section 1, Block VIII, Cape Campbell Survey District, to the boundary of the Marlborough Coast Rabbit District defined by Order in Council made on the 21st day of December, 1925, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 7th day of January, 1926, at page 8 ; thence easterly by the boundaries of the said district to the sea ; thence
