Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway (Christchurch–Lyttelton Branch).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Christchurch–Lyttelton Branch of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :—

0 0 20·0 Parts Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 1416 of R.S. 176 ; coloured blue.
0 0 13·4 Part R.S. 13 ; coloured yellow.
0 0 10·5 Part R.S. 13 ; coloured neutral tint.
0 0 20·0 Lot 1, D.P. 7575 of R.S. 13 ; coloured blue.
0 0 20·0 Lot 2, D.P. 7575 of R.S. 13 ; coloured yellow.

Situated in City of Christchurch. (S.O. 2442, red.)

In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4584, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of March, 1937.

Land taken for Government Buildings Purposes in the Borough of Wairoa.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for Government buildings purposes ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven.

Situated in the Borough of Wairoa (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O. 1159, green.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95346, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of March, 1937.
