Constituting Hangatiki Base Farm.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 49 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the lands described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be called or known as the Hangatiki Base Farm.

SCHEDULE.

THE following land, situate in the Waikato-Maniapoto Native Land Court District :—

All that parcel of land containing 220 acres 3 roods 33 perches, more or less, being the blocks situated in Block XII, Orahiiri Survey District, called Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 4b No. 2b No. 5a, Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 4b No. 2b No. 5b, Pukeroa-Hangatiki 4b 2b No. 6, Pukeroa-Hangatiki 4b 2b No. 7, Mangarapa No. 4 Section 2a No. 3a No. 1, and Mangarapa No. 4 Section 2b No. 3a, part of the said parcel of land being shown as Lots Nos. 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan 13489 ; all the above-described land being all the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 359, folio 52.

All that parcel of land containing 335 acres 1 rood 8 perches, more or less, being the blocks situated in Block XII, Orahiiri Survey District, called Mangarapa No. 4 Section 2a No. 2, Mangarapa No. 4 Section 2b No. 1b, Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 4b No. 2r, and Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 4b No. 2j, and part of the block situated in the said survey district called Te Kuiti No. 2b No. 18a, part of the said parcel of land being shown as Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 12560 ; all the above-described land being all the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 358, folio 234.

Import Duties Act of United Kingdom.

WITH reference to the notification published in the Gazette of 1st June, 1933, at page 1517, it is hereby notified for public information that, according to advice received by the Customs Department, the form of invoice and certificate of origin set out therein for produce entering the United Kingdom has been cancelled.

In future, in order that New Zealand produce exported to the United Kingdom may be entitled to the benefits of the exemptions from duty provided for in the legislation of the United Kingdom, it is necessary that certificates should be produced to the Customs authorities in that country in the form set out in the Schedule hereto.

Exporters of goods to the United Kingdom should, therefore, see that with respect to all future shipments of New Zealand produce entitled to preference in the United Kingdom certificates in that form are forwarded with the documents relating to goods.

A form of certificate different from that set out in the Schedule is required for manufactured goods (i.e., other than butter, cheese, fruit, and other primary products) entitled to preference in the United Kingdom. Copies of these forms may be obtained at any Customhouse in New Zealand.

For goods grown or produced in the British Empire and consigned therefrom to the United Kingdom for admission to preference, e.g.—

Chicory. Spirits.
Cocoa (other than preparations). Sugar (which has not passed through a refinery).
Coffee. Tallow.
Fresh or raw fruit. Tea.
Dried fruit. Tobacco—unmanufactured.
Hops (other than preparations). Wheat in grain.
Silk—cocoons, waste and raw silk. Wine.

NOTE.—This certificate must be given personally by the proprietor, or by a partner or principal official, of the firm or company concerned. A certificate given by a company or “on behalf of,” “per pro,” “per,” “for,” &c., a person, firm, or company will not be accepted.
