WAIAPO ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March,
1925, at page 753.)
- Season for cock pheasants, Californian quail, Virginian
quail, and Australian quail, grey duck, shoveller duck, and
black swan: 1st May to 30th June, 1937 (both days inclusive). - Season for pukeko: 1st May to 14th May, 1937 (both
days inclusive). - Licenses to take or kill such imported game and native
game within the Waipu Acclimatization District will be
issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty-five
shillings (25s.) each, and the Secretary of the Waipu Accli-
matization Society, or any person authorized by such
Secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue
the said licenses. - No person shall in any one day take or kill imported
game and/or native game exceeding in number twenty-five
head in all of cock pheasants, Californian, Virginian, and
Australian quail, grey duck, shoveller duck, and black swan,
or take or kill more than fifteen head of grey duck and/or
shoveller duck, or take or kill more than fifteen head of black
swan, or take or kill more than nine head of cock pheasants,
or take or kill more than eight head of pukeko; provided
that in estimating the total head of game which may be taken
or killed by any one person in any one day, pukeko shall not
be taken into consideration. - Excepted areas wherein imported game and/or native
game shall not be taken or killed during the open season:—
(1) The whole of the Te Araroa Township sections except
Section 22.
(2) Mr. H. K. Hovell's farm and the Whotumatapau Hill.
(3) Tolaga Bay Township and the area bounded by the
Uawa River from its mouth to Mr. A. E. Reeves's
property, from thence following the ridge-line to
the sea.
WAIMARINO ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March,
1925, at page 753.) - Season for cock pheasants, Californian quail, and Aus-
tralian quail : 1st May to 31st July, 1937 (both days inclusive). - Season for mallard duck and grey duck : 1st May to
30th June, 1937 (both days inclusive). - Licenses to take or kill such imported game and native
game within the Waimarino Acclimatization District will be
issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings
(20s.) each, and the Secretary of the Waimarino Acclimati-
tion Society, or any person authorized by such Secretary in
that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said
licenses. - No person shall in any one day take or kill more than six
head of cock pheasants, or take or kill more than six head of
mallard duck, or take or kill more than six head of grey duck.
WAIMATE ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March,
1925, at page 754.) - Season for grey duck, spoonbill duck, and black swan:
1st May to 30th June, 1937 (both days inclusive). - Season for paradise duck : 1st May to 7th May, 1937
(both days inclusive). - Season for pukeko: 1st May to 14th May, 1937 (both
days inclusive). - Licenses to take or kill such native game within the
Waimate Acclimatization District will be issued to any
person on payment of the sum of ten shillings (10s.) each;
and the Secretary of the Waimate Acclimatization Society,
or any person authorized by such Secretary in that behalf,
is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses. - No person shall in any one day take or kill native game
exceeding in number twenty head in all of grey duck, spoonbill
duck, paradise duck, and black swan, or take or kill more
than fifteen head in all of grey duck, spoonbill duck, and
paradise duck, or take or kill more than five head of paradise
duck, or take or kill more than ten head of black swan, or
take or kill more than eight head of pukeko; provided that
in estimating the total head of game which may be taken
or killed by any one person in any one day pukeko shall not
be taken into consideration.
WAITAKI ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March,
1925, at page 754.) - Season for grey duck, spoonbill duck, and black swan:
1st May to 30th June, 1937 (both days inclusive). - Season for paradise duck : 1st May to 7th May, 1937
(both days inclusive). - Season for pukeko: 1st May to 14th May, 1937 (both
days inclusive). - Licenses to take or kill such native game within the
Waitaki Acclimatization District will be issued to any person
on payment of the sum of ten shillings (10s.) each; and the
Secretary of the Waitaki Acclimatization Society, or any
person authorized by such Secretary in that behalf, is hereby
authorized to sign and issue the said licenses. - No person shall in any one day take or kill native game
exceeding in number twenty head in all of grey duck, spoonbill
duck, paradise duck, and black swan, or take or kill more
than fifteen head in all of grey duck, spoonbill duck, and
paradise duck, or take or kill more than five head of paradise
duck, or take or kill more than eight head of pukeko; pro-

shall not be taken into consideration. - Excepted areas wherein native game shall not be taken
or killed during the open season:-
Block 7, Otepopo District, Parts 4, 5, and 8;
Block 6, Otepopo District, Part 1;
Block 8, Oamaru District, Parts 7 and 53;
Block I, Kauroo District, Part 49;
Being the property of Mr. A. C. Nichols.
A strip of land to a depth of 20 chains from the main
road running parallel with the main road from the
Elderslie Lane to Elderslie No. 2 Road, being contained
in part Sections 46 and 47, Block IX, Awamoko Survey
District, part Section 2, Block XVI, Oamaru Survey
District, and part of Section 3A, Elderslie No. 2 Settlement,
being the property of the Elderslie Stud, Ltd.
WANGANUI ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 60 of 15th Sep-
tember, 1932, at page 1998.) - Season for cock phesants, Californian quail, and Aus-
tralian quail : 1st May to 31st July, 1937 (both days inclusive). - Season for mallard duck, grey duck, spoonbill duck (or
shoveller), and black swan: 1st May to 30th June, 1937
(both days inclusive). - Season for pukeko : 1st May to 10th May, 1937 (both
days inclusive). - Licenses to take or kill such imported game and native
game within the Wanganui Acclimatization District will be
issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty
shillings (20s.) each, and the Secretary of the Wanganui
Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such
Secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue
the said licenses. - No person shall in any one day take or kill more than
three head of cock pheasants, or take or kill more than
ten head in all of mallard duck, grey duck, spoonbill duck,
and black swan, or take or kill more than eight head of
pukeko ; provided that in estimating the total head of
game which may be taken or killed by any one person in any
one day pukeko shall not be taken into consideration.
WELLINGTON ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 60 of 15th Sep-
tember, 1932, at page 1998.) - Season for hares, cock pheasants, Californian quail, and
Australian quail : 1st May to 31st July, 1937 (both days
inclusive). - Season for grey duck, mallard duck, and shoveller duck :
1st May to 30th June, 1937 (both days inclusive). - Season for black swan : 1st May to 14th May, 1937
(both days inclusive), and 24th June to 30th June, 1937
(both days inclusive). - Licenses to take or kill such imported game and native
game within the Wellington Acclimatization District will be
issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty-five
shillings (25s.) each; and the Secretary of the Wellington
Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such
Secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and
issue the said licenses. - No person shall in any one day take or kill more than
two head of cock pheasants, or take or kill more than three
head of black swan or, in the month of May, 1937, take or
kill more than fifteen head in all of grey duck, mallard duck,
and/or spoonbill duck, or in the month of June, 1937, take
or kill more than ten head in all of grey duck, mallard duck,
and/or spoonbill duck. - Nothing herein shall apply to hares in the counties
of Akitio, Castlepoint, Masterton, Pahiatua, Featherston, and
Wairarapa South, wherein these animals are not protected. - No person shall take or kill native or imported game on
the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd day of May, 1937, while occupying any
stand, hide, loo, or position as commonly used by duck-
shooters (hereinafter referred to as “a stand”) which has
been duly claimed by any other license-holder in accordance
with the following provisions:-
(a) A stand may be claimed by the planting thereon at
any time after noon on the 25th day of April, 1937,
of a stake with a board attached having plainly
marked thereon the name and address of the claim-
ant and the number of his license.
(b) No person shall claim more than one stand.
