And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has not yet been exercised, and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of portion—five thousand pounds (£5,000)—of the said loan (hereinafter called “the said sum”):
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said sum by prescribing that in lieu of thirty (30) years specified in clause one of the said Order in Council the term shall be twenty (20) years.

Unalienated Crown Land in the Westland Mining District open for Sale.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Mining Act, 1926, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the unalienated Crown land within the Westland Mining District, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be open for sale by public auction to be held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Hokitika, at eleven o'clock a.m. on the twenty-second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, in the area, at the upset price, and on the terms set forth in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND MINING DISTRICT.—WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.— TOWN OF KUMARA.
SECTION 372I, Block XII, Waimea Survey District : Area, 24 perches. Upset price, £10.
Description of Section.
This section comprises a residential area adjoining the local post-office in the Borough of Kumara, and was formerly reserved as a Courthouse-site.
Terms of Sale.
Cash : One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with certificate-of-title fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter.

Land temporarily reserved in the Otago Land District for Aerodrome Purposes.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the Otago Land District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for aerodrome purposes.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less, being part of Section 4, Block XXXIV, Town of Frankton: Bounded on the east, 790 links, by Essex Street; on the south, 376 links, by Northampton Street, on the west, 790 links, by Cumberland Street; and on the north, 376 links, by other part of Section 4 aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 54813c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 10th day of March, 1937.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Northcote Borough Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Northcote Borough Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—

  1. The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.
  2. The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.
  3. The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
    SCHEDULE.
    NORTHCOTE SCENIC RESERVE.—KAURI GLEN.
    ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 24 acres 0 roods 6·2 perches, more or less, being Allotment 8, Parish of Takapuna, and part Lot 29 of Allotment 7, Parish of Takapuna. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 4/386, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. North Auckland plans : 22493 (blue) and D.P. 2658 (green).
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 13th day of March, 1937.
