Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers' Regulations, 1931.
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers' Regulations, 1931, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve until further notice of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

THE following special order made by the Martinborough Borough Council on the 8th day of February, 1937, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.
RESOLVED by way of special order under the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, that the undermentioned plants be declared noxious weeds within the Borough of Martinborough:- Broom, gorse, hemlock, milk-thistle.
Fixing the Amount of Special Orchard-tax payable in the Gisborne Commercial Fruitgrowing District.- (Notice No. Ag. 3451.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon the Minister of Agriculture by subsection (3) of section 4 of the Orchard-tax Act, 1927, I, Frederick Jones, acting for the Minister of Agriculture, hereby order and direct that, in addition to the general orchard-tax payable under section 3 of the said Act, the occupier of every orchard within the Gisborne Commercial Fruitgrowing District shall in each year be liable to pay a special orchard-tax calculated at the rate of two shillings for every acre or part of an acre comprised in his orchard and planted with apple-trees, pear-trees, and quince-trees.

ERRATUM.- In the notification dated 28th January, 1937, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 28th January, 1937, at page 291, notifying the names of officiating ministers within the meaning of the Marriage Act, 1908, the name of "Lieut.-Colonel George Gratton," under the denomination The Salvation Army, should read "Lieut.-Colonel George Gratton."
