section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby change the purpose of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for public recreation purposes to a reserve for aerodrome purposes.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 36 perches, more or less, and being part of Reserve 1858 situated in Block II of the Patiti Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the west and north-west generally by Lots 108 and 76, Deposit Plan, 4075 the abutment of a road and Lots 67, 61, and 62, Deposit Plan 4075 aforesaid, 265·39, 200, 263·52, and 559 links; towards the north by Lagoon Street, 275·8 links; and again towards the south-east by a public road, 1212·76 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/11/81B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Directing Revision of District Valuation Rolls.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct that the district valuation rolls for the districts enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at the 31st day of March, 1937.

Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block XII, Uawa Survey District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a road.

Increasing Borrowing-powers of Gisborne Fire Board.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of February, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-one of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that the Governor-General in Council may, on the application of any Fire Board established under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, extend the powers of that Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section:

And whereas application has been made by the said Gisborne Fire Board for further extension of borrowing-powers, and it is desirable to grant such request:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the powers of the said Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section thirty-one are hereby extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of thirteen thousand pounds: Provided that no moneys as aforesaid shall be borrowed except subject to the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and its amendments.

Mount Maunganui Town District not to be Part of County of Tauranga.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of February, 1937.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Governor-General is satisfied that the population of the Mount Maunganui Town District, in the County of Tauranga, exceeds five hundred, and the Town Board of the said Mount Maunganui Town District has made application that the town district shall not form part of the County of Tauranga, being the county within the boundaries of which it is situated:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1908 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare that, on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, the Mount Maunganui Town District shall not form part of the County of Tauranga.
