Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, City of Christchurch.

Wellington, 17th February, 1937.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the City of Christchurch. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, situated in Blocks X and XI, Christchurch Survey District, being parts of Rural Sections 1101 and 2200, and being that part of the land in Certificate of Title, Vol. 278, folio 199 (Canterbury Registry), lying within the County of Waimairi.

Alteration of Boundaries of Omahuta and Puketi Forests Fire District.
WHEREAS by a notice published in the Gazette on the 12th day of October, 1922, at page 2758 (hereinafter referred to as “the said notice”), a certain area in the North Auckland Land District, in the Hokianga, Whangaroa, and Bay of Islands Counties, more particularly delineated on Forest Atlas No. A 005 (the said notice having referred to such land as being in Maungataniwha, Kaeo, Omapere, and Mangamuka Survey Districts), was declared to be a fire district under the name of Omahuta and Puketi Forests Fire District:
And whereas it is expedient to vary the boundaries of the said fire district by excluding therefrom the land described in the First Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 27 of the Forests Act, 1921–22, and on the recommendation of the Director of Forestry and the Land Board of the Auckland Land District, I do hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto shall, as on and from the date hereof, be deemed to be excluded from the Omahuta and Puketi Forests Fire District constituted by the said notice, and that the period specified in the said notice as a closed season shall cease to apply with respect to the land described in the said First Schedule hereto; and with the like power and authority do declare that the balance of the land referred to in the said notice, after excluding the land described in the said First Schedule hereto (the boundaries of which are set out in the Second Schedule hereto), shall remain a fire district and shall be known as Omahuta and Puketi Forests Fire District.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
Area to be withdrawn from Omahuta and Puketi Forests Fire District.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Hokianga County, containing approximately 4,532 acres, situated in Maungataniwha and Mangamuka Survey Districts, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the Whangaroa Road and the southern boundary of Mangamuka East No. 3B 1 Block; thence towards the east generally by the Whangaroa Road; towards the north-east generally by the crossing of the Whangaroa Road, Mangamuka East No. 1B 2 Block, and Section 15, Block XV, Maungataniwha Survey District; towards the south-east generally by the Omahuta Valley Road; towards the north-east generally by the Mangamuka Road; towards the south-east by the Wairikiriki Block; towards the south by the Orira Block; towards the south-west generally by Sections 12, 11, and 10, Block II, Mangamuka Survey District; towards the north-west generally by the Mangamuka River, O.L.C. 264, again by the Mangamuka River and Kaahu South Block; towards the west generally by Kaahu South and North Blocks, the Mangamuka River, Section 5, Block II, Mangamuka Survey District, and across the Mangamuka Road to the Mangamuka River; towards the north-west generally by the Mangamuka River, Mangamuka East A Nos. 1B South and A 1A Blocks; towards the south-west generally by Mangamuka East A No. 1A Block; towards the west generally by the Mangamuka River; towards the north-west generally by Mangamuka East B 1, C, and 2B Blocks; towards the south generally by Mangamuka East 2B Block, the Oporehu River, and Mangamuka East No. G 1B 2 Block; towards the west by Mangamuka East G Nos. 1B 2, 1C, 1A, 2B, and 2A Blocks and a public road; and towards the north by Mangamuka East Nos. 3B 2 and 1 Blocks to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 5/18, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
Omahuta and Puketi Forests Fire District.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Hokianga, Whangaroa, and Bay of Islands Counties, containing approximately 57,800 acres, situated in Maungataniwha, Kaeo, Mangamuka, and Omapere
