WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
IN pursuance of the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928, notice is hereby given that the Waimea County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Waimea County Council, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours:
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, Waimea County Council Office, Nelson.

CHANGE OF NAME.
NOTICE is hereby given that I the undersigned HENRY LESLIE WILLS-RAWLINGS, of Invercargill, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Linotype Operator (heretofore or sometimes known as Henry Leslie Wills), being a British subject, have by deed-poll dated the 11th day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and enrolled in the Supreme Court Office at Invercargill, renounced and abandoned my surname of “Wills” and assigned and adopted the surname of “Wills-Rawlings” for all purposes whatsoever.

PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the body corporate called The Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, to execute a certain public work—namely, the making of a new street within the City of Auckland—and for the purpose of such work the pieces of land described in the schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk, Queen Street, Auckland, and is open for public inspection and may be inspected there without fee during office hours: All persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the 18th day of December, 1936, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the Auckland City Council, Town Hall, Queen Street, Auckland.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Makarau Bridge Loan, 1936, of £800.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £800 authorized to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Rodney County Council’s share of the cost of the Makarau Bridge, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a rate of 0·03231517d. in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the County of Rodney, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed by the Rodney County Council at a meeting of the said Council held on the 16th day of December, 1936.
