- If the timber is unsold at this offering the right to pur-
chase same at the upset price will remain open until further
notice. - Any breach of the conditions of sale will render the
“on demand” promissory notes liable for presentation for
immediate payment. - The purchaser shall have the right to cut the timber
for the period specified, but shall have no right to the use
of the land. - The purchaser shall have the right to construct and
use on the land such tramway or tramways as may be found
necessary for the proper cutting, milling, and removal of the
timber. - If at any time during the currency of the license it
should appear that the timber on any area is being improperly
cut, or that the interests of the Crown or of the settlers is
being prejudiced, or for any other reason, the Commissioner
may, by notice in writing to the licensee and his sureties
(and without prejudice to any proceedings for damage done,
recovery of any amount due on account of royalty, or other-
wise), suspend the license pending investigation; and the
Commissioner may cancel such license should it be found that
its conditions have been infringed. - No compensation shall be made, nor shall any be claimed,
for any error or discrepancy in these conditions, or for any
misdescription of any lot. - The timber will be sold in accordance with the areas
and boundaries shown on sale maps which may be seen at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, where full
particulars may be obtained.
