The conversion will take effect from the 1st day of February, 1936.
Application for conversion must be made in writing and be accompanied by the securities to which it relates.
Dissent from the conversion of any existing debentures or other securities may be signified by the holder by notice in writing delivered to the County Clerk, Rangitikei County Council, corner of High Street and William Street, Marton, on or before the 15th day of February, 1936.
If notice of dissent from the conversion of any debentures or other securities is not received by that date the securities will be converted.
The rate of interest on any debentures or other securities in respect of which dissent is signified as aforesaid will, by virtue of section 18 of the above-mentioned Act, be reduced to two-thirds of the original rate as from the 1st day of February, 1936.
Further particulars as to the new debentures and the conversion generally may be obtained from the County Clerk, Rangitikei County Council, corner of High Street and William Street, Marton.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Mount Pleasant Redemption Loan, 1936, of £2,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and sinking funds on the above loan authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the Mount Pleasant Waterworks Loan which falls due on the 1st April, 1936, the said Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 11/32nd of a penny (eleven thirty-seconds) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Mount Pleasant Riding of the County, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan in each and every year or until the loan is fully paid off.”

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Kaikoura County Loans Conversion Order, 1935.
I, FRANCIS JAMES MONK, Chairman of the Kaikoura County Council, hereby certify—
- That the following resolution was duly passed at a properly convened meeting of the Kaikoura County Council held on the 20th day of December, 1935:—
“That pursuant to Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Kaikoura County Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (as published on the 6th December, 1935, at pages 3632–3636 in Gazette No. 91, being Supplementary to Gazette No. 89 of the 5th December, 1935), the Council resolves to issue new securities in conversion of the existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule of the aforementioned Order on the terms and conditions set out in that Order.”

That notice of intention to confirm such resolution was advertised on the 27th day of December, 1935, in the Kaikoura Star, and on the 6th day of January, 1936, in the Kaikoura Star.

That the said resolution was duly confirmed by the Kaikoura County Council at an ordinary meeting held on the 17th day of January, 1936.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
