(Exempt from rental payments for three years.*)
SECTION 3, Block XIII: Area, 994 acres. Capital value, £250; half-yearly rent, £5.
Weighted with £107 10s. for improvements, consisting of whare, clearing and grassing, road-boundary fencing, subdivisional fencing, and half-share in boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash or by a deposit of £7 10s., and the balance of £100 over a period of five years by means of ten half-yearly instalments of £11 11s. each.
A grazing property, situated on Omahu Road, six miles from Omahu Post-office, eight miles from Hikutaiā Railway-station and Dairy Factory. Access is by the Omahu Track from the junction of the Thames-Paeroa Road. Located on the eastern slopes of the Coromandel Range, the land is hilly to broken in places. Approximately 60 acres cleared and grassed, in fair condition, 300 acres felled (now reverted), balance in natural state. Would prove suitable as a run-off area for a Hauraki Plains settler. Ragwort and blackberry require attention.
- No rent will be charged for three years after payment of the first half-year’s rent provided a sum equivalent to the concession granted is expended each year in effecting permanent improvements to the land.
