Land in the Westland Land District proclaimed as ceasing to be set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, as amended by section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1926, it is enacted that on the disposal of any national-endowment land by way of sale, or on the acquisition of the fee-simple of any such land, the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare that such land shall, as from a date to be specified in the Proclamation, cease to be national-endowment land:
And whereas the fee-simple of the land described in the Schedule hereto (being land heretofore held on a license issued under the regulations for the occupation of pastoral lands within the Karamea and Westland Mining Districts) has been acquired, and it is expedient that the said land should cease to be national-endowment land:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the aforesaid section three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national-endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national-endowment land.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
PART Section 2628, Block V, Waiwhero Survey District : Area, 22 acres 1 rood 39 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of November, 1936.

Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1731 declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1731, set apart by Proclamation dated the seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and gazetted on the ninth day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing 202 acres, more or less, being Provisional State Forest No. 1731, situated in Block VIII, Mawheranui Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 10/98/93, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of November, 1936.

Settlement Land in Canterbury Land District set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers under Special Tenures.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers under special tenures in the manner provided in the said Act.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Ashburton County.—Rakaia Survey District.—Acton Settlement.
SECTION 4s : Area, 84 acres 3 roods 35 perches. Section 5s : Area, 120 acres. Section 6s : Area, 101 acres 2 roods 5 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of November, 1936.

Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes:
And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1,322 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2 of Section 2, Block II, Tarawera Survey District (proclaimed Scenic Reserve by Gazette, 1930, page 3616): Bounded towards the north-west by Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 4A No. 2A Block; towards the north generally by Wharenui No. 6D 2B and part 6B Blocks; towards the south-east by Section 2, Block III, Tarawera Survey District, and the Rotorua-Okataina Road; and towards the south generally by the Rotorua-Okataina and Rotorua-Wairoa Roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 8/1/26B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
