ERRATUM.—In Gazette No. 69 of the 22nd October,
1936, at page 1910, under heading "Officers authorized
to take and receive Statutory Declarations," for "Eric
Greenaway Tyler" read "Erle Greenaway Tyler."
Revoking a Proclamation taking Additional Land at
Milton for the Purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Act, 1928, it is
enacted that if at any time after the issue or
making of any Proclamation taking land under this
Act, and before the payment or award of any com-
pensation in respect to the taking thereof, it is found
that the land or any part thereof is not required for the
purpose for which it was taken, the Governor-General
may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the
former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he
thinks necessary:
And whereas it is found that the additional land at
Milton taken for the purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff
Railway by a Proclamation made under the Public
Works Act, 1928, dated the nineteenth day of February,
one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six (hereinafter
termed "the said Proclamation"), and published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 16 of the twenty-seventh day
of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six,
at page 331, is not required for the purposes for which it
was taken:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount
Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other
powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke the
said Proclamation.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of
October, 1936.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes
of a Road in the County of Dannevirke, at Ormondville.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of the
Wellington-Napier Railway, and it is considered desirable
to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public
Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
become a road, and that the said road shall be under the
control of the Dannevirke County Council, and shall be main-
tained by the said Council in like manner as other public
highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 39·8 perches.
Portion of railway land, Block X, Takapau Survey District,
Dannevirke County. (S.O. 1125, green.)
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4397, de-
positied in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington,
and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of
October, 1936
