Block III aforesaid, contained in Certificate of
Title entered in Register-book at Dunedin, Volume
233, folio 62, of which said part Section 108
aforesaid one Archibald Campbell Hurst, of
Windsor, Farmer, is at present registered as
proprietor ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portions
of roads (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance
of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said roads.
SCHEDULE.
THE north-eastern side of all that portion of road, situated
in the Otago Land District, County of Waitaki, fronting
part Section 140, Block II, Papakaio Survey District ; coloured
red on plan marked P.W.D. 93494.
The eastern side of all that portion of road, situated in
the said land district and county, fronting Sections 100 and
46R, Block III, Papakaio Survey District ; the southern side
of all that portion of road situated in the said land district
and county, fronting Sections 97, 98, 99, and 100, Block III,
Papakaio Survey District ; and the western side of all that
portion of road situated in the said land district and county,
fronting part Section 108, Block III, Papakaio Survey Dis-
trict ; coloured red on plan marked P.W.D. 93495.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans
marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Colyton Public
Hall Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day
of October, 1936.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
was, by subsection one of section thirty-five of
the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public
Bodies Empowering Act, 1925, permanently reserved as
a site for a public hall: And whereas it is expedient
that the control of the said reserve should be vested in
a special Board as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of
the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act,
1928, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve
described in the Schedule hereto for a period of five years
from the date hereof (unless previously amended or
revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned
persons, namely,–
Thomas Wales,
Newall Walter Pearce,
John Williamson,
Keith Viles, and
Harold William Shepherd,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special
Board by the name of the Colyton Public Hall Board
(hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), with the
powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter con-
tained, that is to say:–

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business
on the third Monday in each month at 8 o’clock p.m. at
the Colyton Public Hall, or at such other time or place
as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The
first meeting shall be held on Monday, the 16th day
of November, 1936. -
The members of the Board shall at their first
meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter
mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who
may join in the discussion and shall have an original as
well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office
until the election of his successor. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman,
provided that two days’ notice of any such meeting is
given to each member, specifying the business to be
transacted at such special meeting; and no other business
than that so specified shall be transacted at such
meeting. -
Any three members of the Board shall form a
quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to
time. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at
the time appointed for holding the same, the members
present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman
of such meeting. -
If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise
the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or
if any member absents himself without reasonable cause
from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the
Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other
person to be a member of the Board in his stead. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority
of votes of members of the Board present at the meeting. -
The Board shall have prepared and submitted at
an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in
each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for
the previous year ending on the 31st day of March,
together with a statement of the receipts and expendi-
ture of the Board for such year. A copy of every such
report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be
correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon
as possible after each annual meeting. -
The Board shall control the said reserve and the
building erected thereon for the purposes of a public
hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of
Colyton and the surrounding district such facilities for
meeting within the said hall as may from time to time
be determined by the Board; provided that the Board
shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use
of the said hall.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being part Sub-
division H, Manchester Block, and being all the land
comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 56, folio 129,
Wellington Registry.

Officer authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the
Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby notify and declare that Reginald John Mathers, being
an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of
Clerk, Chief Electrical Engineer’s Branch of the Public Works
Department at Wellington, is authorized to take and receive
statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first
section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 22nd day of October, 1936.

Scenic Reserves Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery
Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control
of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land
reserved under the said Act), in trust for the purposes of
scenery preservation, as from the date of this notice until the
twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-seven (unless previously altered or revoked under the
