THE COMPANIES ACT, 1933, SECTION 282 (3).

TAKE notice that at the expiration of three months from the date hereof the names of the undermentioned companies will, unless cause is shown to the contrary, be struck off the Register and the companies will be dissolved:—

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Masterton County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public work—namely, the Masterton-Gladstone road; And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so proposed to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate in Chapel Street, Masterton, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

FEATHERSTON-LONGWOOD WATER-RACE DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that by special order passed on the 27th day of May, 1936, and confirmed on the 10th day of July, 1936, pursuant to section 5 of the Water-supply Amendment Act, 1913, the Featherston County Council appointed six ratepayers below named to have all powers of management of the Council in respect of water-races in the Featherston-Longwood Water-race District as from the date of confirmation of the order:—

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between NEWTON WADSWORTH and JAMES THOMAS, carrying on business at Riwaka, in the Provincial District of Nelson, as Sawmillers, under the style or firm of “Wadsworth and Thomas,” has been dissolved as from the 1st day of September, 1936.

STEWARD SETTLEMENT WATER-RACE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Special Loan, 1936, £500.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Steward Settlement Water-race Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five hundred pounds (£500) authorized to be raised by the Steward Settlement Water-race Board under the above-mentioned Act for erecting a dwelling for the use of the Board’s caretaker, the said Steward Settlement Water-race Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirteenth (1/13th) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the special-rating area comprising the whole of the said Board’s rating district, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
