COLLINGWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken under the Public Works Act, 1928, for a certain work—to wit, for the purpose of a road. A copy of the plan of the lands is deposited at the County Office, Collingwood, and may be inspected there at any time during office hours. All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set out in writing all well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication hereof to the Collingwood County Council at its office, Collingwood.

SCHEDULE.

All those parcels of land situate in Block I, Pakawau Survey District, being—
(1) 2 acres 1 rood 28 perches, being part Section 2.
(2) 1 acre 1 rood 6 perches, being part Section 9.
(3) 2 roods 7 perches, being part Section 8.
(4) 3 acres 1 rood 36 perches, being part Section 6.
(5) 3 roods 35 perches, being part Section 55, Square 15.
(6) 8 perches, being part Section 55, Square 15.

DREDGING DEVELOPMENTS, LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of creditors of Dredging Developments, Limited, will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the office of Mr. E. J. Woolf, 203 Commerce Buildings, Christchurch, on Wednesday, 12th August, 1936, at 11 a.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may (1) nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may (2) appoint a committee of inspection.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in the minute-book the above-named company on the 27th day of July, 1936, passed a resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily. A meeting of creditors of the above-named company will accordingly be held at Mr. S. Hindin’s Board-room, Commercial Bank Chambers, 141 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the 5th day of August, 1936, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a meeting of the members of the above company will be held in the Nelson Institute, on Monday, the 31st August, 1936, at 3.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and to hear any explanation that may be given by the liquidator.

THE NEW ZEALAND OILFIELDS DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the New Zealand Oilfields Development Company, Limited (in Liquidation), will be held at the office of the liquidator, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Friday, 4th September, 1936, at 12 noon, for the purpose of receiving the liquidator’s statement of account showing how the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of.

The following extraordinary resolution will be submitted to members :—

“That the liquidator be directed to retain the books and records of the company for a period of two years from the date of dissolution of the company.”

BELL-BIRD UNDERWEAR, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in the minute-book of the above-named company made by virtue of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, in lieu of special resolution, and dated the 8th day of August, 1936, the following resolution was passed :—

“That the directors having filed pursuant to section 226 of the Companies Act, 1933, a declaration of solvency for the purposes of a members’ voluntary winding up, the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. D. F. McLEOD be appointed liquidator for the purposes of such voluntary winding up.”

HOKITIKA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hokitika Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighteen thousand pounds (£18,000) authorized to be raised by the Hokitika Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for renewing rising main, pump-house to reservoir, providing pumps, pump-houses, and necessary equipment for pumping water from bores into the borough mains and reservoir, the said Hokitika Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two and seven-eighths pence (2¾d.), in the pound (on the basis of the unimproved value) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Hokitika, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hokitika, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, George Albert Perry, Mayor of the Borough of Hokitika, certify the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hokitika Borough Council on the 24th day of July, 1936, making and levying a special rate in pursuance of section 21 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.
