Extending Time for holding Election of Chairman of the
County of Stratford.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day
of July, 1936.
Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS pursuant to section seventy-five of the
Counties Act, 1920 (hereinafter termed “the said
Act”), the Stratford County Council should have proceeded
to the election of the Chairman of the County of Stratford
at the annual meeting held at noon on the twenty-seventh
day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six:
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for the
holding of such election:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General, in
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by sec-
tion two hundred and sixteen of the said Act, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doht hereby extend the time for the holding of the election of
the Chairman of the County of Stratford, and doth hereby
order and declare that in the aforesaid county the said elec-
tion shall be held and take place on Saturday, the eighteenth
day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.
