GREY COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Grey County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to take the lands described in the schedule hereto for the purpose of a gravel-pit or quarry to be used in connection with certain public works—namely, the construction, maintenance, and enjoyment of the Grey Valley—Taramakau Road: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Gresson Street, Greymouth, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of parcels of land required to be taken: 2 roods 2·2 perches.
Being portion of Section No. 3064; coloured pink.
Situate in Block IX, Kopara Survey District.

IT is hereby notified that at a meeting of the Council of the Royal Society of New Zealand held on the 29th May, 1936, the following amendments to the Rules of the Royal Society of New Zealand, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 84 of the 14th November, 1935, were made:—
SECTION F. I.—HUTTON MEMORIAL MEDAL AND RESEARCH FUND (RULE 4).
AFTER the words “such investment,” insert the words “after the payment of all expenses legally incurred by the Council in the investment and administration of the said fund.”
SECTION F. II.—HECTOR MEMORIAL RESEARCH FUND (RULE 4).
