Registrar, and proceeding due east along the southern boundaries of the said Lot 1 and Lot 3 on the said plan to the Manakau Road; thence southward generally along Manakau Road to the southernmost corner of Waitutuma Subdivision No. 1A 3D; thence in a south-easterly direction along the end of the said road and in a north-westerly direction along the eastern side of the said road to the south-western corner of Waitutuma Subdivision No. 1A 2; thence eastward along the southern boundary of the said Subdivision No. 1A 2 to the western boundary of a State forest (Gazette, 1900, page 104); thence southward generally along the aforesaid western boundary of the State forest to the end of the river-bank reserve at the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block X, Kaiwaka Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the said river-bank reserve and the north-western boundary of the aforesaid Section 1 to the Waitutuma Stream; thence in a north-westerly direction generally along the eastern boundaries of the Matakitaki, Kawakawa, Waitarangi, and Te Kopi Blocks to the aforesaid south-western corner of Lot 1, the place of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 96/1, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of May, 1936.

Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area of Crown land in the Nelson Land District containing approximately 2,900 acres, situated in Block VI, Inangahua Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north and north-east by a provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 930); towards the east by the eastern boundary of Inangahua Survey District; towards the south-west by a provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 2110); towards the west and again towards the south-west by a provisional State forest (Gazette, 1936, page 334); towards the south-east by Section 5, Block VI aforesaid; towards the north-west by Crown land and a public road; towards the north-east and north-west by Section 5, Square 134; and again towards the north-west by Sections 22 and 7, Square 134 aforesaid, a public road, and Section 1, Block VI aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 113/14, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of May, 1936.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the parts of provisional State forests and Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Inangahua and Murchison Counties, containing approximately 142,400 acres, and being parts of Provisional State Forest No. 91 (Gazette, 1920, page 932, and Gazette, 1931, page 2285), containing 6,800 acres, part of Provisional State Forest No. 53 (Gazette, 1920, pages 932 and 933), containing 26,050 acres, parts of Provisional State Forest 92 (Gazette, 1920, page 926), containing 74,250 acres (ordinary provisional State forests), and Crown land containing 35,300 acres, situated in Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, VII, IX, X, XI, XIII, XIV, and XV, Burnett Survey District, Blocks VIII, XII, and XVI, Reefton Survey District, Blocks III, IV, VII, VIII, XI, XII, and XVI, Waitahu Survey District, Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, VII, IX, X, XI, XIII, XIV, and XV, Rahu Survey District, Block IV, Pohaturoa Survey District, and Blocks I and II, Lewis Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at a point being the north-western corner of Section 1, Block III, Burnett Survey District; thence towards the east generally by the said Section 1, part of Section 2, Block III, a public road along each bank of Coffee Creek, again by the said part of Section 2, Section 5, Block III, Section 1, Block VII, a public road along each bank of Scotty’s Creek, again by the said Section 1, Block VII, Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block VII, Section 6, Block XI, a public road, and Sections 7, 8, and 9, Block XI, all of Burnett Survey District; thence towards the north by the said Section 9 and Section 10A, Block XI, Burnett Survey District; again towards the east by Section 4, Block XV, a public road, and Sections 1 and 2, Block XV, Burnett Survey District; thence towards the south and again towards the east generally by Crown land in Blocks III, VII, and XI, Rahu Survey District; again towards the south by Section 11, Block XI, and Section 1, Block X, Rahu Survey District, towards the east by the said Section 1, Block X, and Section 1, Block XIV, Rahu Survey District, and towards the north-west by the said Section 1, Block XIV, and Section 17, Block XV, Rahu Survey District (State forest—Gazette, 1907, page 1935), again towards the east generally by Sections 2 and 3, Block XV, Rahu Survey District, a public road, the Rahu River, a crossing of the said river, again by a public road, a gravel reserve, again by the said public road, another gravel reserve, and again by the said public road to the Westland Land District; thence towards the south-west and south-east by the said Westland Land District to the eastern boundary of Block III, Pohaturoa Survey District; thence towards the west by the eastern boundaries of Blocks III, Pohaturoa Survey District, and Blocks XV and XI, Waitahu Survey District; thence towards the north-east and north-west by Section 1, Block XII, Waitahu Survey District, and by the production of the south-eastern boundary of that section to the eastern side of a public road on the right bank of the Inangahua River; thence towards the west generally by the said public road, Section 4, Block XII, Waitahu Survey District, again by the said public road, Section 1, Block XI, Sections 9, 1, and 8, Block VII, Waitahu Survey District, a public road on each bank of the Rough or Tobin Stream, Section 6, Block III, Waitahu Survey District, a public road, and Sections 5, 4, 3, and 12, Block III, Waitahu Survey District; thence towards the north-west generally by a provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 2112—3,960 acres); thence towards the west, south, west, and north-west generally by a provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 2111—31,525 acres), again towards the north-west generally by a provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 2111—2,240 acres), and Crown land to the southern boundary of the Muruia Survey District; thence towards the north by that boundary to the point of commencement: save and excepting Section 1, Block II, Lewis Survey District, Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block XIV, and Section 1, Block XIII, Rahu Survey District, Sections 2 and 3, Block XII, Waitahu Survey District, and all public roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 121/3, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
