Appointment of Issuing Officers for the Purpose of
issuing Licenses to take or kill Opossums in the
Rotorua Acclimatization District.
P URSUANT to the provisions of Condition No. 3
included under the heading “Rotorua Acclimatiza-
tion District” in the Order in Council dated the 29th
day of April, 1936, made under the Animals Protection
and Game Act, 1921-22, and published in New Zealand
Gazette No. 31 of the 30th idem, at page 807, declaring
open seasons for the taking or killing of opossums in
the acclimatization districts specified in such Order in
Council, I, Joseph William Allen Heenan, Under-Secretary
of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
The Conservator of Fish and Game, Rotorua,
Ranger G. G. Potts, Taupo,
Ranger H. Frame, Tuai, Hawke’s Bay,
The Manager, Lake House, Waikaremoana,
The Postmaster, Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay, and
The Postmaster, Tuai,
to be Issuing Officers for the purpose of issuing licenses
to take or kill opossums in the Rotorua Acclimatization
District under and subject to the general conditions set
forth in the said Order in Council and the special
conditions set forth under the heading “Rotorua
Acclimatization District.”

Henry Ernest Motton,
to be Assistant Secretary of Labour for the purposes of the
Labour Department Amendment Act, 1936, as from the 1st
day of May, 1936, and Chief Inspector of Factories for the
purposes of the Factories Act, 1921-22, as from the 1st day
of April, 1936.
Edward Bellamy Taylor,
to be Registrar of Apprentices for the purposes of the
Apprentices Act, 1923, as from the 1st day of May, 1933, and
Registrar for the purposes of the Industrial Conciliation and
Arbitration Act, 1925, as from the 1st day of April, 1936.
George Myers Frost Jackson,
to be Deputy Registrar for the purposes of the Industrial
Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, as from the 1st day
of April, 1936.
William Stewart Steele,
to be an Inspector under the Health Act, 1920, and an officer
under the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908, as from the
27th day of April, 1936.

pleased to revoke the license granted to
Wiremu Erueti, of Ruatoki North,
authorizing him to act as an Interpreter of the First
Grade under the provisions of the Native Land Act,
1931, and the regulations thereunder.

Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the
ratepayers in the Mount Pleasant Riding of the County
of Heathcote, taken on the 29th day of April, 1936,
on the proposal of the Heathcote County Council to
borrow the sum of three thousand one hundred pounds
(£3,100) for various works in the Mount Pleasant
Riding, the number of valid votes recorded were—

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
