Portion of Hokianga Consolidation Scheme confirmed.
In the matter of section 161 of the Native Land Act, 1931,
and in the matter of an application to the Court to
prepare a scheme of consolidation dated the 18th day of
September, 1929.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation
in part dated the 19th day of November, 1935, dealing
with Whakarapa 1 and other blocks within the Tokeran
Native Land Court District, as set out in the said scheme,
having been prepared by the Native Land Court in accordance
with the above-mentioned Act and submitted under the seal of
the said Court to the Native Minister for his approval, I,
as such Native Minister, being satisfied that the portion of
the scheme so submitted is just and equitable, and is in the
public interest, do hereby confirm the portion of the said
scheme of consolidation which was so submitted on the said
19th day of November, 1935.

Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise Special Loan.
IN pursuance of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of rate-
payers of the City of Palmerston North taken on the 26th
day of February, 1936, on the proposal of the Palmerston
North City Council to borrow the sum of fourteen thousand
three hundred pounds (£14,300) for the purpose of laying a
21 in. steel water-supply main (including cost of materials)
in Fitzherbert Avenue, from College Street to the Fitzherbert
Bridge, thence along the Tiritea Road to the intersection of
the Fitzherbert Road West—
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was . . 513
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was . . 242
I therefore declare that the above proposal was duly carried.

Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise Special Loan.
IN pursuance of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers
of the City of Palmerston North taken on the 26th day of
February, 1936, on the proposal of the Palmerston North City
Council to borrow the sum of eight thousand two hundred and
sixty pounds (£8,260) for the purpose of constructing and
installing one 6-in.-diameter artesian well, storage reservoir of
300,000 gallons capacity, providing two electrically-
operated pumps, erection of pumping-house, laying a 9-in.-
diameter main from pumping-house to Ruaheine Street, a
6 in. main along Fitzroy Street to Main Street, and purchase
of land required therefor—
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was . . 409
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was . . 342
I therefore declare that the above proposal was duly carried.

1926, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of
the Te Puke No. 2 Road Water-race Area, taken on the above
proposal on the 19th day of February, 1936, the voting was
recorded as follows:—

I therefore declare that the said proposal was carried.

Removal of Name from the Commission of the Peace.

Wellington, 10th March, 1936.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased,
in terms of section 8 of the Justices of the Peace Act,
1927, to direct the removal of the name of
William James Morris, of Reefton,
from the Commission of the Peace; and it is hereby notified
that such name has been removed accordingly, and that such
removal will take effect on and from this 10th day of March,
1936.

Notice as to Statutory Closing-day under the Shops and Offices
Act, 1921-22.
WHEREAS the Clinton Town Board has failed to decide
what working-day in the week shall be the statutory
closing-day for shops in the Town District of Clinton:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf con-
ferred upon me by section 18 of the Shops and Offices Act,
1921-22, J. Hubert Thomas Armstrong, Minister of Labour,
do hereby appoint Saturday as the statutory closing-day for
shops in the Town District of Clinton on and from the 23rd
day of March, 1936.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the Borough of One
Tree Hill for the Purposes of a Secondary School.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under
the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to
take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the
purposes of a secondary school: And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so to be taken is
deposited in the post-office at Newmarket and is there
open for inspection; and that all persons affected by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any
well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set
forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land to be taken:
10 acres.
Being Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 15722, being portion of Allot-
ment 17 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland.
Situated in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District (One
Tree Hill Borough), (Auckland R.D.), (S.O. 28351.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
91563, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
