SCHEDULE.

All that area situated in the Land District of Canterbury, Blocks V and VI, Christchurch Survey District, comprising approximately 572 acres, and being Rural Sections 6336 and 7957, part of Reserve 947, part Rural Sections 4897 and 7850, and including portions of Orchards Road and Dury Road: Bounded on the south by Coringa Road, on the west by Rural Section 6113 and Sinclairs Road, on the north by Harewood Road, and on the east by Rural Section 7597, balance of Rural Sections 4897 and 7850, and Rural Sections 7741 and 6152.

Declaring Land to be subject to Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1931.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of March, 1936.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by paragraph (g) of subsection three of section five hundred and twenty-two of the Native Land Act, 1931, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Order in Council declare that any land dealt with under the said subsection three shall be subject to Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1931:

And whereas the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is being dealt with under the said subsection three of section five hundred and twenty-two of the Native Land Act, 1931:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and all other powers him enabling, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1931.

Granting Temporary Exemption from Section 50 (4) of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of March, 1936.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section fifty-five of the Finance Act, 1931 (No. 4), as amended by section thirty of the Finance Act, 1935 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-General, being of opinion that compliance with the provisions of subsection four of section fifty of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by The Hawke’s Bay District Branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters of New Zealand Friendly Society No. 356, being a registered branch within the meaning of the last-named Act (hereinafter called “the said branch”), in respect of the year ending on the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, would impose undue hardship on the said branch, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to the said branch exemption to the extent hereinafter set out from the obligations of the said subsection four in respect of the period aforesaid—that is to say, that in lieu of the interest at the rate of not less than four per centum per annum payable by the said branch into any benefit fund of the said branch in terms of the said subsection four it shall be sufficient compliance with the obligations of the said subsection four relating to moneys forming part of any benefit fund of the said branch invested in the purchase of the land referred to in the Schedule hereto
