- Andrew Paterson Dickson Johnston Moffat, to be Registrar of Marriages and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Black's, as from the 6th day of December, 1935.
- Cecil Gostelow, Esquire, F.I.A., to be Registrar of Friendly Societies and Actuary for the purposes of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, Superintendent of the Fund and Actuary for the purposes of the National Provident Fund Act, 1926, and Government Actuary, as from the 20th day of February, 1936.
- Thomas Elder, to be an Inspector under the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, and the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, as from the 17th day of February, 1936.
- Malcolm Harold Gunn, to be an Assistant Inspector under section 95 (2) of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, as from the 28th day of February, 1936.

Pursuant to section 24 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, I, William Edward Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Tuesday, 24th March, 1936, to be the day for the holding of an election of four members of the Board of the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire District by fire-insurance companies which for the time being are carrying on business within the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire District.

Approval of Expenditure by Wellington City Council of Compensation Moneys under Thorndon Reclamation Act, 1921–22.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased, in terms of section 6 of the Thorndon Reclamation Act, 1921–22, to approve of the expenditure by the Wellington City Council from the balance of the compensation moneys held under that Act for the purpose of providing recreation facilities in the City of Wellington of the sum set opposite the purpose specified hereunder:—

Special Order made by Ohura County Council declaring Sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, not to apply to that Council.

The following special order made by the Ohura County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931.
SPECIAL ORDER.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Ohura County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:-
"That sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply after the close of the present financial year—viz., the 31st March, 1936."
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.
The Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable grounds for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any assumed or fictitious name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
