  1. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

  2. The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the 31st day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

  3. The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Matira and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board; provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.

Vesting a Reserve in the Maniototo Agricultural and Pastoral Association.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day of February, 1936.

Present:

THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a showground for an agricultural and pastoral association: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Maniototo Agricultural and Pastoral Association:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Maniototo Agricultural and Pastoral Association, in trust, for a showground for an agricultural and pastoral association.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby direct that the bridge (together with the approaches thereto) described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Waimea County Council.

THAT bridge in the Nelson Land District, over the Big Pokororo River, known as the Big Pokororo River Bridge, together with the approaches thereto, situated in Section 11, Block IX, Motueka Survey District. As the site of the said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 91408, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of February, 1936.

Warrant vesting the Control of the Tongaporutu River Suspension Bridge, over the Tongaporutu River (together with the Approaches thereto), in the Clifton County Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby direct that the bridge (together with the approaches thereto) described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Clifton County Council.

THAT bridge in the Taranaki Land District, Clifton County, known as the Tongaporutu River Suspension Bridge, together with the approaches thereto, situated near the boundary between Sections 14 and 15, Block IV, Mimi Survey District. As the site of the said bridge is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 91296, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of February, 1936.

Notice bringing a Police and Courthouse Reserve within the Operation of the Mining Act, 1926.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section twenty-five of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be brought within the operation of the Mining Act, 1926, as from the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing 2 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 245, situated in the Town of Orima, Block XV, Arnold Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Mines N. 6/94, deposited in the office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 19th day of February, 1936.
