Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres 0 roods 25 perches, more or less, being part Kinohaku West 12B 2B Block, being portion of a scenic reserve set apart by Gazette of 1924, page 902, situated in Block II, Kawhia South Survey District: Bounded towards the north generally by Section 15, Block XIV, Kawhia North Survey District; towards the east by the Kawhia Harbour; towards the south generally by part Kinohaku West 12B 2B Block (scenic reserve, Gazette, 1924, page 902); and towards the west by part Kinohaku West 12B 2B Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/16850A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of February, 1936.

Allocating a Passenger-service to be dealt with by the Central Licensing Authority.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of February, 1936.

Present:

THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section fifteen of the Transport Law Amendment Act, 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, made after consultation with the Transport Co-ordination Board, doth hereby declare that the granting of a passenger-service license in respect of the proposed passenger-service specified in the Schedule hereto shall be a function of the Central Licensing Authority whether carried on by the proprietor named in the said Schedule or transferred to any other proprietor in terms of section twenty of the said Act, and whether or not varied in conformity with any amendment made in terms of section thirty-four of the Transport Licensing Act, 1931, in any license under which such passenger-service may from time to time be carried on for the time being.

Present:

THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section fifteen of the Transport Law Amendment Act, 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, made after consultation with the Transport Co-ordination Board, doth hereby declare that the granting of a passenger-service license in respect of the proposed passenger-service specified in the Schedule hereto shall be a function of the Central Licensing Authority whether carried on by the proprietor named in the said Schedule or transferred to any other proprietor in terms of section twenty of the said Act, and whether or not varied in conformity with any amendment made in terms of section thirty-four of the Transport Licensing Act, 1931, in any license under which such passenger-service may from time to time be carried on for the time being.

Areas of Borough of St. Kilda and Borough of Green Island added to Dunedin Metropolitan Fire District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of February, 1936.

Present:

THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section two of the Fire Brigades Amendment Act, 1932, and on application in that behalf made to the Minister jointly in respect of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of Mosgiel (being a fire district constituted under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, under the name of the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire District) by the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board, and in respect of the Borough of St. Kilda and the Borough of Green Island (being districts which are not fire districts constituted under the last-mentioned Act) by the St. Kilda Borough Council and the Green Island Borough Council respectively, and being satisfied that all the requirements of the said respective Acts have been complied with, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare the areas comprising the City of Dunedin, the Borough of Mosgiel, the Borough of St. Kilda, and the Borough of Green Island to be a united fire district under the said Acts as from the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and doth assign the name of the “Dunedin Metropolitan Fire District” to the united fire district so constituted.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Suburbs of Mangere, North Auckland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of February, 1936.

Present:

THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of a reserve duly set apart for quarry purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for water-supply purposes: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for quarry purposes to a reserve for water-supply purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Manukau County, situate in Block V, Otahuhu Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, being part Section 31, Suburbs of Mangere. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 22/3747A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
