Application for conversion must be made in writing and be accompanied by the securities to which it relates.

Dissent from the conversion of any existing debentures or other securities may be signified by the holder by notice in writing delivered to the Clerk, Wairarapa South County Council, Carterton, on or before the 15th day of March, 1936.

If notice of dissent from the conversion of any debentures or other securities is not received by that date the securities will be converted.

The rate of interest on any debentures or other securities in respect of which dissent is signified as aforesaid will, by virtue of section 18 of the above-mentioned Act, be reduced by two-thirds of the original rate as from the 1st day of March, 1936.

Further particulars as to the new debentures and the conversion generally may be obtained from the Clerk, Wairarapa South County Council, Carterton.

I, HARRY BELL SPEARMAN JOHNSTONE, Chairman of the County of Waimate, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Waimate County Council held on the 16th day of December, 1935, and confirmed on the 28th day of January, 1936, the purport of such resolution being that the said Council do issue new securities in conversion of the existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the First Schedule of the Waimate County Loans Conversion Order, 1935, as published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 6th day of December, 1935.

WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL.


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Waimate County Loans Conversion Order, 1935, the Waimate County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Waimate County Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the instalments of principal and interest in respect of the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Waimate County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2/43rd of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the first day of January in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the first day of January, 1958, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between BEATRICE AMY BELL and ALFREDA VERNON DAVIS, carrying on business as Fruiterers and Tea-room Proprietors at Tutanekai Street, Rotorua, under the style or firm name of “Bell and Bell,” has been dissolved as from the 13th day of December, 1935.

“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities carry on its business and that it be wound up.”
