Settlement Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 24th November, 1935.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 20th January, 1936.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 23rd January, 1936, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.—SETTLEMENT LAND.

Taupo County.—Repores Settlement.

SECTION 378: Area, 136 acres 1 rood 36 perches. Capital value, £810; half-yearly rent, £20 5s.

Improvements (valued at £190) included in capital value comprise clearing and grassing, drains, approximately 55 chains of road-boundary fencing, and half-share in 75 chains of boundary-fencing.

This section is situated on Reporoa Settlement Road, three miles from Reporoa Post-office and School, twenty-six miles from Rotorua Railway-station, and thirty-one miles from Ngongotaha Dairy Factory; access by well-formed pumice road. Approximately 100 acres of swamp land requiring further drainage in parts, balance easy undulating to hilly. Approximately 50 acres in worn-out pasture, 50 acres of swamp (rough feed), and 36 acres in natural state. When fully developed the property will be suitable for dairying, but at the present time it is suitable only for grazing purposes.

Land in Otago Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for renewable lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 14th January, 1936, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

NOTE.—The attention of intending bidders is drawn to the fact that the section is situated within the Otago Mining District and is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Vincent County.—Tiger Hill Survey District.—Otago Mining District.

SECTION 15, Block IV: Area, 34 acres 2 roods 22 perches. Upset annual rental, £4 4s.

Weighted with £20 6s. (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising approximately 28 chains road-boundary fencing.

This area is situated about eight miles from Omakau Railway-station by good metalled road. All level land of good quality, at present in worn-out pasture. No water on the section.

Wallace County.—Merrivale Settlement.

SECTION 31, Merrivale Settlement, Block X, Waiau Survey District: Area, 7 acres 1 rood 21 perches. Upset price, £65.

Improvements included in the price of land comprise boundary-fencing valued at £5.

Situated about one mile and a quarter from Orawia Post-office and half a mile from Railway-station. The area comprises fair quality farming land broken by gullies and terraces. All in old pasture.
