HAWKE’S BAY RIVERS BOARD.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS.

PURSUANT to section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928,
notice is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay Rivers
Board proposes under the powers conferred by the River
Boards Act, 1908, and the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Act, 1919,
and their respective amendments, to execute certain public
works—namely, river works for the diversion, straightening,
widenin g, clearing, and controlling of the course of the
Tutaekuri River and the prevention of floods from the waters
of the said river: And that accordingly the lands described
in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto are required
to be taken for the purposes of river works:

Notice is further given that plans of the lands required to
be taken for the purposes aforesaid are deposited in the
offices of the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board, Tennyson Street,
Napier, and are open for inspection by all persons during
ordinary office hours:

All persons affected by the execution of the said works or
by the taking of the said lands who have any well-grounded
objection to the execution of the said works or to the taking
of the said lands must set forth their objections in writing
and send the same to the Clerk of the Hawke’s Bay Rivers
Board at the offices of the said Board, Tennyson Street,
Napier, on or before the 18th day of December, 1935, being a
date not less than forty days from the first publication of this
notice.
