Small lots of goods of Classes A, B, C, and D from Wellington to stations Paekakariki to Palmerston North (inclusive) and Whakarongo and Ashhurst will be charged pro rata at the local rate, instead of under Regulation 71, General Scale of Charges. Minimum charges:—
To Otaki, Levin, Shannon, Palmerston North—

With the following exceptions, goods consigned from Wellington to Otaki, Levin, Shannon, and Palmerston North, and charged at the local rates for Classes A, B, C, and D, will be delivered within the areas as determined by the Department in that behalf.
Exceptions.—Pianos, plate glass, motor-cars in cases, household removals, aeroplanes, boats, empty tanks, creamery and freezing vats, theatrical luggage and scenery, show exhibits, side-shows, contractors’ plant, all vehicles, agricultural machinery, any package exceeding 5 cwt. in weight in the case of Palmerston North, and 7 cwt. in weight in the case of Otaki, Levin, and Shannon, or 20 ft. in length, or involving special cartage arrangements, benzine, kerosene, and similar oils.
