Wellington Palmerston North Iron, galvanized, packed .. 35s. per ton, which includes collection at Wellington and delivery at Palmerston North within the areas determined by the Department in that behalf.
Separators 30s. per ton, including collection at Wellington, and delivery at Palmerston North within the areas as determined by the Department in that behalf.
Classes A, B, C, and D, n.o.s. 40s. per ton.
Classes A, B, C, D, E, and E½, also empty returns (explosives excepted) £5 per four-wheeled wagon containing not more than 8 tons. Any weight in excess of 8 tons per four-wheeled wagon will be charged at the rate of 12s. 6d. per ton. Minimum, ten four-wheeled wagons per week from Wellington to Palmerston North and/or Palmerston North to Wellington. Participation in this rate is subject to the conclusion of a special agreement with the Department.
Ashhurst Classes A, B, C, and D, except benzine and similar oils in owner’s tank wagons 40s. per ton.

Small lots of goods of Classes A, B, C, and D from Wellington to stations Paekakariki to Palmerston North (inclusive) and Whakarongo and Ashhurst will be charged pro rata at the local rate, instead of under Regulation 71, General Scale of Charges. Minimum charges:—

To Otaki, Levin, Shannon, Palmerston North—

To Whakarongo and Ashhurst .. .. .. 2s.

With the following exceptions, goods consigned from Wellington to Otaki, Levin, Shannon, and Palmerston North, and charged at the local rates for Classes A, B, C, and D, will be delivered within the areas as determined by the Department in that behalf.

Exceptions.—Pianos, plate glass, motor-cars in cases, household removals, aeroplanes, boats, empty tanks, creamery and freezing vats, theatrical luggage and scenery, show exhibits, side-shows, contractors’ plant, all vehicles, agricultural machinery, any package exceeding 5 cwt. in weight in the case of Palmerston North, and 7 cwt. in weight in the case of Otaki, Levin, and Shannon, or 20 ft. in length, or involving special cartage arrangements, benzine, kerosene, and similar oils.
