Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 15th October, 1935.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Tuesday, 29th October, 1935.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 31st October, 1935, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Otorohanga County.—Wharepapa Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for five years.*)
SECTION 5, Block XI: Area, 490 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £250; half-yearly rent, £5.
Weighted with £65 for improvements, consisting of cottage, approximately 80 chains road-boundary fencing, half-share in 80 chains of boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash or the total sum to remain on mortgage to the Mortgage Corporation of New Zealand, payable over a period of twenty years (interest rate 4½ per cent.) by instalments of principal and interest combined amounting to £2 10s. 1d. each half-year.
A grazing property, situated on Aotearoa Road, twenty-six miles from Te Awamutu Post-office, Railway-station, and Dairy Factory. Access by metalled road. Land undulating to hilly and broken. Approximately 50 acres of worn-out pasture rapidly reverting, 60 acres felled and grassed (now second growth), balance in natural state of standing bush. Ragwort requires attention.
- Rental exemption is conditional upon a sum equivalent to the concession granted being expended each year in effecting permanent improvements to the land.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 12th November, 1935.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Thursday, 14th November, 1935, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
N.B.—This land is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessees, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.

SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Inangahua County.—Reefton Survey District.—Westland Mining District.
(National-endowment Land.)
SECTION 16, Block XIII: Area, 70 acres 2 roods 32 perches. Capital value £70; half-yearly rent, £1 8s.
Weighted with £145 (to be paid in cash) for improvements, comprising dwellinghouse and cow-shed (in fair condition, but requiring attention), grassing, stumping, and fencing.
The section is situated in the Little Grey River Valley, about one mile and a half from Tawhai Railway-station on the Reefton-Greymouth line, and five miles from the Reefton Post-office and School. Access is from Tawhai Railway-station which is about one mile and a half distant by main road. The area comprises very little flat land, being mostly undulating and hillside; watered by small streams. Approximately 30 acres have been felled, but fern has a hold of the clearing; remainder is in birch bush. Soil is poor to fair, resting on granite formation. Elevation 700 ft. to 850 ft.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 8th November, 1935.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 12th November, 1935, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Waimairi County.—Christchurch Survey District.—Avonhead Settlement.
SECTION 15, Block X: Area, 11 acres 0 roods 6 perches. Capital value, £860; half-yearly rent, £21 10s.
Loaded with the sum of £400 for improvements, comprising dwelling of four rooms with hall, washhouse, pumice copper, tubs, &c. The property is connected with electric light and has cold water laid on. Other improvements include a shed, well, windmill, stand tank, piping, fencing, and approximately two hundred fruit-trees which require cultivation, pruning, &c. This amount is payable in cash or by a cash deposit of £25, the balance being secured by an instalment mortgage for a term of twenty-four years and a half in the case of a civilian or twenty-five years and a half in the case of a discharged soldier.
This section is situated on Avonhead Road, one mile and a half from Riccarton Post-office and School, and comprises flat land, all ploughable. The area, being handy to the tram and Christchurch City, is very suitable for poultry or pig farming, or, when brought into order, as a market garden.
