HEREWITH is published for general information, in accordance with the Land Agents Act, 1921-22, a supplementary list of persons licensed to carry on business as land-agents as on the 31st day of December, 1934.

NOTE.—The Register is arranged alphabetically under the names of holders of licenses; but when an individual holds a license on behalf of a firm or registered company, the name of such firm or company, and not the name of the holder of the license, is placed in its alphabetical order.
In the case of a firm or company the name of which consists of the Christian name or names (or initials) and surname or surnames of some person or persons, the index letter is the first letter of the first surname.
Further, where an individual holder of a license trades under a particular name, the trade-name appears in its alphabetical order.

IN pursuance of the power vested in me by section 6, subsection (1), of the Child Welfare Amendment Act, 1927, I, Sydney George Smith, Minister of Education, do hereby notify that “The Grange,” Girls’ Home, Clifton Road, Herne Bay, Auckland, has been registered as a Children’s Home as from the date hereof.

Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1934.
INCOME-TAX PAYABLE.
BY Order in Council, made and issued by His Excellency the Governor-General in Council on the 8th day of October, 1934, under the authority of the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of income-tax, leviable under section 3 of the said Act, should be paid in one sum on Monday, the 11th day of February, 1935, at the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Government Buildings, Wellington, C. 1; and, in accordance with such Order in Council, I hereby give notice that the said duty will be payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before 4th March, 1935. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The tax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues; any overpayment will be adjusted by refund.
The demands will be posted from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes on or about 2nd February, 1935. Demands must be presented with all payments, and taxpayers who expect a demand and do not receive one should notify me of the fact.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932.—Notice of Cancellation of Award.
In the matter of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and its amendments, and in the matter of an industrial dispute between the New Zealand Federated Stonemasons’ Industrial Association of Workers, applicant, and the New Zealand Federated Builders and Contractors’ Industrial Association of Employers and others, respondents.
WHEREAS the Conciliation Commissioner, by notice under his hand dated the 22nd day of December, 1934, has notified the Clerk of Awards that a settlement of the above-mentioned dispute has not been arrived at by the Council of Conciliation appointed for the hearing thereof, notice is hereby given that in accordance with section 7 (4) of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932, the Northern Industrial District Carpenters and Joiners, Bricklayers, and Stonemasons’ award, dated 10th May, 1920, and published in Book of Awards, Volume XXI, page 469 (which award now applies only to stonemasons in the Gisborne Judicial District), and the Dunedin Operative Stonemasons’ award, dated 19th March, 1921, and published in Book of Awards, Volume XXII, page 446, are deemed to be cancelled, and cease to be in force on the expiration of one month from the date of the Commissioner’s notification to the Clerk of Awards as aforesaid.
