THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 40

Proclaiming a Road-line laid off through Wharekawa No. 1f 2c Block, Blocks V and VI, Wharekawa Survey District, North Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, duly laid off as a road-line in pursuance of section four hundred and eighty-two of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the said Act:
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of subsection two of section four hundred and eighty-seven of the said Act:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road:—

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2250, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2738, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of May, 1935.

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of subsection two of section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931:

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of a provisional State forest set apart by Proclamation dated the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and gazetted on the twenty-fifth day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall from and after the day of the gazetting hereof cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 751 acres 2 roods 11 perches, more or less, being Sections 12, 25, and 26, Block X, Waipoua Survey District, and being the residue of the area set apart as provisional State forest by Gazette, 1920, page 3137. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1917, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plans S.O. 7083 and 11020.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of May, 1935.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the Wellington – New Plymouth Railway; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five.
