THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Tohunga ; thence along a right line to Trig. Station No. 65a ; thence along a right line running through Trig. Station 68a to the middle of the Mohaka River ; thence up the middle of the Mohaka and Taharua Rivers to the 39th parallel of south latitude, the place of commencement.

HASTINGS DISTRICT.

All that area in the Hawke's Bay and Wellington Land Districts bounded on the north by the Napier District hereinbefore described, from the summit of the Ruahine Range to the sea at the mouth of the Ngaruroro River ; thence by the sea to a point in line with the northern boundary-line of Lot 2 on plan 3216 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier ; thence to and along the northern boundary of the said Lot 2 and the northern boundary of Lot 1 on plan 3215 deposited as aforesaid to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned lot ; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 6, 5, and 4, Block III, Oero Survey District (Elsthorpe Settlement), to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 4 aforesaid to the Hawea Stream ; thence down the middle of the Hawea Stream to the Tuki Tuki River ; thence up the middle of the Tuki Tuki River to the Papanui Stream ; thence up the middle of the Papanui Stream to the Te Aute–Patangata Road ; thence along the middle of the Te Aute–Patangata Road to the Te Aute Road ; thence along the middle of the Te Aute Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of the college land ; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that land and the north-eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block XV, and Section 1, Block XIV, Maraekakaho Survey District, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence along a right line to the intersection of the north-western boundary of S.G.R. 1, Block X, Maraekakaho Survey District, with the Manga-o-nuku River ; thence to and up the middle of that river to its source ; thence along the northern and north-western boundaries of Block III, the north-western boundaries of Block I, Block V, and again of Block I to the middle of the Mangamauku River ; thence up the middle of that river to its source ; thence along a right line to the confluence of the Makaroro River with the north branch of the Waipawa River ; thence along a right line in the direction of Aorangi Trig. Station to the summit of the Ruahine Range, the place of commencement.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five.

Districts reconstituted under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Napier and Hastings districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into two registration districts the names whereof shall be the Napier and Hastings Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be conterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908 :

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of May, 1935.

Additional Land taken for the Purposes of a Post-office at Aramoho, in the City of Wanganui.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a post-office ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 7·31 perches. Being Lot 1 and part Lot 2, D.P. 2400, being part Section 21, Right Bank, Wanganui River.

Situated in Block III, Westmere Survey District (City of Wanganui). (S.O. 3013.)

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 89207, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of May, 1935.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for scenic purposes ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five.
