LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same within one calendar month from the date of publication of the New Zealand Gazette containing this notice:—

No. 5412. EMMA MARIA WYETT, of Greytown, Spinster.—2 acres 0 roods 4·91 perches, being Sections 4 and 6, Town of Greytown. Occupied by applicant. Plan No. 10792. Diagram may be inspected at this office.

CHANGE OF NAME.

I, EWART MARTYN VANSTONE, of Opotiki, in the Provincial District of Auckland and Dominion of New Zealand, Farmer, lately called and known by that name but whose name is registered in the Register of Births, Deaths, and Marriages as ETWART MARTYN VANSTONE, hereby give public notice that on the 20th day of February, 1935, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of the said Christian name of Ewart and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the Christian name of Ewart instead of Ewart: And I give further notice that such change of name is evidenced by a certain deed dated the 20th day of February, 1935, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Auckland.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Maketu Riding Loan, 1934, £4,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000) authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the County’s share of the cost of sealing (a) portion of the Tauranga-Whakatane Main Highway commencing from the end of the present sealing (6½ miles), and (b) portion of the Paengaroa-Te Ngae Main Highway commencing from the junction of that highway with the Tauranga-Whakatane Main Highway (3½ miles), the said Tauranga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of a penny (⅓d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the Maketu Riding of the said county, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring special rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Tauranga County Council held on the 12th day of April, 1935.
