SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Waimate County.—Waimate Survey District.—Waimate Settlement.
SECTION 30, Block XIV: Area, 15 acres 2 roods 39 perches. Capital value, £580; half-yearly rent, £14 10s.
Weighted with £150 for improvements, comprising dwelling of three rooms, rough stable and cow-shed, trap-shed, and man’s room, iron washhouse, 31 chains subdivisional and 39 chains road and party boundary fencing. This sum is payable in cash or by cash deposit of £50 and the balance (secured by loading on lease) by twenty half-yearly instalments of £6 9s. 6d. principal and interest.
This property is situated on Knottingley Park Road, distant one mile and a half from Waimate Township, School, and Railway. The land is flat, subdivided into five paddocks, and is watered by well and dam, the soil being of medium loam resting on clay and ironstone formation. Access is by good metalled road. The property is suitable for small-fruit growing, market garden, bees, poultry, or dairying.
The successful applicant will require to pay the deposit on improvements, £150 or £50, as the case may be, a half-year’s rent, £14 10s., rent for the broken period 14th May, 1935, to 30th June, 1935 (£3 16s. approximately), £1 1s. lease fee, also proportion insurance premium and current premium, 9s. 1d., immediately his application is declared successful.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND COUNTY.—THIRD-CLASS RURAL LAND.
(1) Part Lot 1 of Section 132, Block IV, Forest Hill Hundred: Area, 111 acres 1 rood. Upset price, £225.
(2) Part Lot 2 of Section 132, Block IV, Forest Hill Hundred: Area, 184 acres 0 roods 31 perches. Upset price, £275.
(3) Part Lot 3 of Section 132, Block IV, Forest Hill Hundred, and Section 5, Block VI, Lindhurst Hundred: Area, 250 acres. Upset price, £440.
The improvements included in the price of the areas are as follows:—
Part Lot 1: Ditches and drain £30, fencing £10, clearing £20.
Part Lot 2: Ditches and drain £10, fencing £10.
Part Lot 3: Cottage and outbuildings £240, fencing and plantation £40, ditches and drains £40, clearing £30.
Situated on the University Endowment Road, about three to five miles from Hedgehope Railway-station and Post-office. The sections comprise nearly all low-lying land subject to flooding from Hedgehope Stream. The soil is of a swampy nature resting on quartz gravel and is of fair quality only. The sections in their present state are suitable for rough grazing.
Terms of sale.—One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Certificate of Title fee, £1, within thirty days thereafter.
Titles will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.
