THE ZEALANDIA PACKING COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE ZEALANDIA PACKING COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held at the Chamber of Commerce, Auckland, on Tuesday, 12th February, 1935, the following extraordinary resolution was passed :—

“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up.”

And at a meeting of creditors held subsequently on the same date it was resolved that Mr. A. M. SEAMAN, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator.

ALEXANDRA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Workers’ Dwellings Loan of £2,000, 1934, authorized to be raised by the Alexandra Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to workers for the erection of workers’ dwellings and/or for erecting workers’ dwellings, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence three-farthings (3¾d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Alexandra, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Alexandra Borough Council held on the 11th day of February, 1935.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-mentioned company by the Supreme Court was on the 12th day of February, 1935, presented to the said Court by George Fraser and Sons, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Auckland; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at the Supreme Courthouse at Auckland on the 11th day of March, 1935, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
