GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION AMENDING SPECIAL RATE.
Golden Bay Electric-power Board Loan Conversion Order, 1934.
W HEREAS a resolution was passed by this Board on the 22nd August, 1934, making a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the district for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued under the Golden Bay Electric-power Board Loan Conversion Order, 1934 :
And whereas it has been ascertained that the said special rate of ¾d. in the pound will not be sufficient to meet such interest, sinking fund, and other charges and to comply with the requirements of section 21 (4) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926 :
Now it is therefore resolved that in pursuance of the powers conferred on the Board by section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the said special rate of ¾d. in the pound shall be amended by increasing such amount of ¾d. in the pound to 13/16d. in the pound.
The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Golden Bay Electric-power Board held on the 8th day of February, 1935.
