Restricting the Exportation of certain Goods to the United Kingdom.—(C. No. 130.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of January, 1935.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section forty-seven of the Customs Act, 1913, as amended by the Customs Amendment Act, 1921, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, save with the consent of the Minister of Agriculture, acting upon the recommendation of the New Zealand Meat Producers Board, the exportation from New Zealand to the United Kingdom of the carcass or carcasses of any porker pig or porker pigs in any vessel scheduled to arrive in the United Kingdom on or before the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five.

This Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

N.B.—With respect to the above Order in Council it is hereby notified for general information that, for the purposes of the said Order and to comply with the requirements of the British Government in respect of the quantities of carcasses of porker pigs which may arrive in the United Kingdom on or before the 31st March next, permits to export will, in the meantime, be granted only in respect of the carcasses of porker pigs which have been slaughtered on or before the 31st day of December, 1934.


Warrant appointing Conciliation Commissioner under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and its Amendments.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by subsection four (a) and subsection six of section forty of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

to be a Conciliation Commissioner under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act for a period of six months from the ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five.

PURSUANT to the provisions of subsection (1) of section 12 of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1927,

Mary Beatrice Beswick,

an officer of the Department of Health, is hereby authorized to enter the premises of any person carrying on the business of a producer, manufacturer, seller, or distributor of any dangerous drug, and to demand the production of and to inspect any books or documents relating to dealings in any such drugs, and to inspect, weigh, measure, and record the stocks of any such drugs.
