Election of Member of Marlborough Land Board.—Result of Poll.

I, PERCY RUSSELL WILKINSON, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Marlborough Land Board, do hereby notify in accordance with section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations thereunder, the result of the poll taken by me on the 17th day of December, 1934, for the election of a member of the Marlborough Land Board to be as follows:—

Number of valid votes .. 353

And I hereby declare that James Fulton having received the greater number of valid votes is duly elected a member of the Marlborough Land Board for a term of two years as from the 17th day of January, 1935.

Fireblight Committee Elections under the Fireblight Committee Regulations, 1928.

DECLARATION OF ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE FIREBLIGHT COMMITTEE OF THE THAMES COMMERCIAL FRUITGROWING DISTRICT.

I, JOHN GRAY, Returning Officer for the purpose of the Fireblight Committee Elections under the Fireblight Committee Regulations, 1928, do hereby declare that the following candidates have been duly nominated for the election of members of the Fireblight Committee of the Thames Commercial Fruitgrowing District, nominations for which closed at Wellington at noon on the 5th day of December, 1934:—

Causley, Samuel.
Cox, William Thomas.
Isaacs, George Lewis.
Orbell, George Scott.
Walder, Jacob.

As the number of candidates nominated does not exceed the number of members to be elected (5), I hereby declare the said Samuel Causley, William Thomas Cox, George Lewis Isaacs, George Scott Orbell, and Jacob Walder, to be duly elected.

Engineers’ Registration Act, 1924: Examinations, June, 1935.

ENTRIES for the next examinations to be held in accordance with the regulations issued under section 16 of the above Act close on 31st January, 1935. Entrance forms received after that date cannot be considered. Entrance forms will be supplied on request to the Registrar, Engineers’ Registration Board, Wellington. Applicants should state whether they require forms for Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

Syllabus of examinations can be obtained on payment of 1s.

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the police at the various police-stations will, if not claimed before Thursday, the 31st January, 1935, be sold thereafter by public auction.
