Conversion as from 15th December, 1933, of 6 per cent. securities for £100, maturing 14th January, 1947, into 4¼ per cent. securities.

Interest rate on existing securities (as reduced by Part I of the Act) is 4⅜ per cent. per annum.

One year’s interest on £100 at existing rate (4⅜ per cent.) is .. .. 4·8

Period from date of conversion (15th December, 1933) to existing maturity date (14th January, 1947) is 13 years 30 days, counted as 13 years.

Factor for 13 years is 9·761556.

£0·55 multiplied by 9·761556 is £5·3688558, or £5 7s. 4d., which is the premium for £100 of the existing securities.

The premiums on other amounts of existing securities of the same class can be computed in the same way, or, alternatively, by ascertaining 5·3688558 per cent. of the amount of the principal in each case.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Silverhope under the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of December, 1934.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the thirty-fifth section of the Public Works Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise, howsoever, for any public work, is not required for such public work, the Governor-General may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the said land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 roods 23·5 perches. Portion of railway land (part Section 9, Hapopo Block), Block IX, Ongo Survey District, Rangitikei County. (S.O. 2977.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 3301, deposited in the office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of December, 1934.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the sixteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and published in the Gazette of the nineteenth day of that month, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Blackwater Domain, and doth hereby appoint

Thomas William Bannan, Sen.,
Thomas William Bannan, Jun.,
John Francis McNamara,
Robert Armstrong,
Blake Huffam, and
George Adam Bannan,

to be the Blackwater Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, at half-past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Blackwater Public Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

BLACKWATER DOMAIN.—NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods, more or less, and being Section 14 of Block XII, Mawheraiti Survey District. Commencing at peg X on the Blackwater Road, and thence bounded by lines the bearings and distances of which are as follows: 241° 11′ and 1027·3 links, 333° 13′ and 915·9 links, 70° 34′ and 795·8 links; thence by the said Blackwater Road, 136° 14′ 18″ and 812·7 links, to the point of commencement at the before-mentioned peg X; be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less: excepting that part of the Blackwater Creek which intersects the land included within the above-described boundaries. IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section forty of the Finance Act, 1931 (No. 2), (hereinafter referred to as “the said section”), and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations by way of amendment to the Local Authorities (Replacement of Debentures) Regulations, 1931, made by Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and published in the Gazette of the twentieth day of the same month.
